My friend Bill Schultz, a good progressive guy who was active in Kent politics
from the day he moved to town, passed away. Before he died, he asked me
if I would head up a New Orleans style funeral parade for him, and he shall
get it. We will get on a pickup truck, the several other musicians and I
(playing cornet), and head from his house on Oak Street up to Main Street,
into the Taylor Hall parking lot (where the kids were shot) and over to
the adjacent Kent State Memorial, which Bill was a major force in helping
to build. Rest in peace, old friend. -- |
